The peace buckle, or 平安扣, is carved in a simple closed ring, a form long carried in Chinese tradition as a symbol of safety and calm. Here it sits below a small gold and red accent at the ear, then releases into a loose fall of chain, the pale stone catching light against the warmth of the gold on either side.
