The pendant stacks in two distinct registers. The upper tier stays solid and brushed, a small coin medallion set between a pair of scrolled wings. Below it, the lower tier opens into a dense pierced lattice, characters cut directly into the pattern, carrying a blessing rather than spelling it out plainly. The two halves don't match in texture, and that's the point. One is closed, the other open.
