The band narrows into a slim vine before opening into two peony blooms, set slightly apart in height so neither one flattens against the hand. The larger flower is pierced through, its petals veined and open to light. The smaller sits solid and smooth just in front of it, close enough to read as part of the same branch. Together they hold the shape of something still growing rather than something finished.
