The Hulu has carried the meaning of longevity and protection in Chinese tradition for centuries. Here it becomes the centerpiece of a band built entirely from the patience of exquisite craftsmanship.

The milgrain beading runs the full circumference of this band without interruption. Each small gold sphere is placed with the patience that only hand finishing produces. At the crown, the band rises into a Hulu form flanked by two smaller motifs, each set with a natural diamond. Six further diamonds are distributed across the band with measured spacing. Eight stones in total, 0.066ct, each one earning its place in the composition. The antique gold finish gives the piece the warmth of something that has already been worn and kept. At 3.56g it sits close to the finger. It is the kind of ring that does not come off.
