The medallion's face is carved in relief with two koi swimming through waves, their scales and fins worked in fine detail across the gold. A single red agate sits set within the scene, a small square of color against the carved gold around it. The whole piece is ringed in a wide band of pave diamond, closing the medallion in a steady line of light. Above it, the cord's cap carries the same diamond setting in miniature, before opening into a scrolled bail.
