The pendant is built in concentric rings, each one carrying its own filigree pattern, scrollwork giving way to coin motifs, coin motifs giving way to a fine woven band at the center. Points of enamel are set into the piece at intervals, turquoise and red circling outward from a single larger red medallion at the very center. The cord it hangs from is finished in a small wrapped knot, striped in red and gold, echoing the pendant's own color story in miniature.
