At the center, a peony sits raised in relief, its petals layered and turned as if caught mid bloom. Around it, the medallion's edge scallops outward into a ring of etched ridges, each one marked with a single point of enamel, red and green alternating around the border. The cord finishes in a simple banded knot, plain against the detail above it.
