At the center, Guanyin sits cast in relief within an arched oval window, framed by openwork scrollwork cut through in fine detail. Diamonds trace two bands at the cylinder's top and bottom, a single ruby marking the center of each, with two more rubies set into the scrollwork on either side of the figure. The chain carries the piece in a fine foxtail link, plain against the density of the pendant it holds.
