The run of Agarwood beads stays even and unbroken for most of its length, each one close in grain and tone to the last. Three gold beads interrupt that rhythm at one point, one carved with the six-syllable mantra, flanked by two smaller textured beads. The gold doesn't dominate the piece. It marks a single pause in an otherwise steady line.
