The pendant stays circular and unbroken at its edge, brushed and beaded in a fine border. Inside that border, the pattern divides. One half opens into radiating lines, the other into a finer trellis lattice, meeting at a carved 福, blessing, set where the two patterns join. The split isn't a flaw in the design. It's the design.
