The longevity lock takes its silhouette from an old form worn to guard against harm, its curved shoulders opened here into fine scrollwork rather than left solid. At the center, a small medallion carries 福, blessing, set apart from the openwork around it. The lock doesn't close on anything. It simply holds its shape, the way a wish does once it's been made.
