The bird is caught at full extension, wings spread wide and unequal in height, tail feathers trailing below in long overlapping layers. Small beads hang loose along the tail on fine wire, moving separately from the rest of the piece. Nothing about the form is symmetrical or settled. It reads less like an ornament and more like a moment paused mid-flight.
