The pixiu is a mythical guardian in Chinese tradition, part lion and part dragon, with a legendary appetite for treasure. It is said to draw wealth in and never let it go, while standing watch against misfortune. Worn close, it becomes a quiet form of protection. White nephrite lends the creature a softness at odds with its fierce reputation, and a honey-toned bead above adds a point of warmth.
Part of the Nephrite Collection, where old guardians take shape in carved jade.
Most of the stone is left smooth. The creature appears only where it matters.
