The moneybag shape stays familiar at its base, rounded and pierced in fine filigree scrollwork. What changes is the top. In place of the usual drawstring knot, a full peony blooms open, its petals raised in layers above the openwork below. Wealth kept close is one meaning. A flower left open on top of it is another.
